setbacks and sadness or Perserverance

I look at the date on the last post and it really puts a little sting of reality in my day... The only reason it even kind of feels like that is because I'm contemplating whether or not to wear a hoodie as I go outside today.  The weather was warm and then it grew cold and as Mother Nature does has gotten warm again.

We start tracking the rest of the record today at Firebrand recordings (firebrandrecordings.com) with our friend Justin.  Justin is new to us, but an experienced player. Well, he's not new to Craig or Doug as he recorded them in their early days of Sabbatical.  I can't say I am a fan.  Sorry bandmates... Just kidding.

We have quit working with the fabulous Ziggy Stull and Bryan Roach for an array of bullshit reasons. I say bullshit because thats what it is.  It sucks. Roach was/is a busy person and we were late on our payments quite a bit.  We tried to move forward with Ziggy and couldn't get the money together properly.  It seems our misfortune was the lack of fortune, but ultimately much time had passed that we couldn't ignore and that had a ton to do with our decision. This paragraph speaks no blame or resentment... its just a bummer that we couldn't finish this baby with two of our good friends.

Thats not to say that Justin or Firebrand are discount mothersuckers. This place is BEAUTIFUL and Justin and I have so many of the same ideas that its scary. I'm super excited... Today I'm going in to do all scratch vocals and possibly one real one..haha - then Fitz will come in and do rhythm guitar and some delay funk.

Well I hope anyone that has a chance to read this has a great day.
